The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a warning to consumers, urging them to discontinue the use of Hygge Hush Flat Classic Logo Style Play Yard Mattresses immediately. This action is necessary due to the potential risk of suffocation associated with these mattresses. It is important to note that the use of these mattresses violates the Federal Safety Regulation for Crib Mattresses.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a warning to consumers regarding the use of Hygge Hush Flat Classic Logo Style play yard mattresses. These mattresses are in violation of federal safety regulations for crib mattresses and pose a suffocation hazard to infants.

It has been found that the mattresses do not meet the required thickness standards and are missing the necessary warning label that specifies the compatible brands and model numbers. Furthermore, the mattresses fail to meet the marking, labeling, and instructional literature requirements. As a result, these failures create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants.

In response to this violation, CPSC has issued a Notice of Violation to the seller, Hygge Hush-US, based in China. However, the company has not agreed to recall the mattresses or provide a solution to consumers. Consumers who have purchased this product will receive the notice directly to ensure their awareness of the issue.

The mattresses, which were available for purchase on Amazon.com and other e-commerce platforms, were sold at prices ranging from $35 to $64 between August 2021 and August

2023. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) conducted tests on the mattresses in the "Flat Classic Logo" style.

These white mattresses measure 26 inches in width and 38 inches in length, featuring the brand name "Hygge Hush" and the double H logo prominently printed on the mattress cover. Each mattress is equipped with two small white tags, one displaying the brand name and the other showcasing the Hygge Hush logo.

While the Crib Mattress regulation is applicable to products manufactured on or after August 15, 2022, the CPSC strongly advises consumers to discontinue the use of all Hygge Hush Flat Classic Logo Style play yard mattresses, regardless of their manufacturing date.

To ensure safety, the CPSC recommends that consumers immediately cease using these Hygge Hush play yard mattresses. They should unzip the mattress cover from the mattress, cut both the cover and mattress into pieces using scissors or a box cutter, and dispose of them in accordance with local garbage collection policies.
